
The Queen's Green Canopy, Rothersthorpe
On the 3rd June 2022 the Rothersthorpe Community came together for the unveiling of an Oak Tree and Plaque to commemorate Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee.
The Tree and Plaque, donated by Rothersthorpe Parish Council was unveiled by Bugbrooke Ward Councillor Adam Brown, Mrs Jennifer Dickens and Chair of Rothersthorpe Parish Council, Cllr Frankie Gilkes.
The tree stands as a tribute to Her Majesty's steadfast commitment to a lifetime of service to Great Britain, the United Kingdom, Overseas Territories and the Commonwealth.
The tree has been registered on the QGC Index.
The unveiling of Rothersthorpe's 'Queen Elizabeth Oak' coincided with the official opening of the Dickens Field Community Green Space, gifted to the village by the late Mr Mr PJ Dickens



As part of the Woodland Trust's Free Trees for Communities Scheme, the Dickens Field Trust Community Space planted over 300 Hedgerow Trees with the help of village volunteers.
Species included:
Spindle wood, Rowan, Field Maple, Dog Wood, Dog Rose.
