Councillor

Rothersthorpe Parish Council

I have lived in Rothersthorpe since 2016 with my wife and two teenagers. We deliberately chose to live in Rothersthorpe so we could be part of a village community. From day one we have actively supported the village through a range of activities and fund raising, and strongly believe in keeping the identity of the village.

I joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 2001 and remain there today. I have travelled extensively in a variety of roles, with a focus on East Africa. I was British Consul/Head of Immigration at the British High Commission in Tanzania from 2006 to 2009.

Still based in the FCO (now the FCDO) I have worked for the Conflict Stability and Security Fund (CSSF) since 2015, currently working on Afghanistan and South Asia programme activity. I am a former Royal Navy reservist and continue to have an interest in the military. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (MCIPS) previously specialising in fragile and conflict affected states.

As a former player and coach, I am an avid Rugby fan and a Saints follower (although my family is from Coventry so Wasps can be an issue!) I enjoy history and pretty much anything with an engine.
