Dickens Field Trust need your help!

Lots of maintenance work taking place in the Dickens Field over the last couple of days. We have been laying some weed suppressing membrane and mulch to give the tree saplings the best chance of survival in this hot weather.

All of the DFT trustees are volunteers who still have their day jobs, homes to run and some have families to look after. Any work that is needed in the field has to be fitted around this. More »

Our Parish Council Chairman Frankie Gilkes has been shortlisted as one of the finalists for this year's Nalc (National Association of Local Councils) Star Council Awards.

He was nominated as 'Young Councillor of the year' and will find out in October where he comes in the competition.

Rothersthorpe are proud to announce that we won a Silver Award at the ACRE Village of the Year Award. The award was presented for Creative Use of a Communal Space, namely the fantastic work from the Dickens Field Trust! A massive round of applause to everyone on the DFT for making this happen! Rothersthorpe were also awarded Bronze in the Overall Village of the Year Award 2022!A big thanks to Shayne Major from Rothersthorpe Parish Council for his work with the ACRE Village of the Year Award Panel! Well done to all winners!
